Dear students,

On November 3rd, there will be an additional English Placement Exam. English Placement consists of 3 sections; listening, grammar and vocabulary. Students need to get 60 in order to attend the English Proficiency exam.  Moreover, there will be an additional English Proficiency Exam will be conducted for the students who meet one of the conditions below. A student who took the Proficiency exam on September 15-16 CANNOT take this additional exam. If a student still takes the exam, although s/he does not meet one of the conditions below, her/his exam will not be assessed/evaluated. 

• Students registered through the External transfer exam (if registered after September 13, 2021) 
• Students registered through Additional admissions  (if registered after September 13, 2021) 

The students who meet one of the conditions should be in front of the School of Foreign Languages at 8.30 a.m. if they want to take the exam

English Proficiency Exam- Content

Reading: 700-2000- word 4 reading texts (40 questions) (Level: B1+ B2)

Listening: 4 listening texts (40 questions) (Level: B1+ B2)

Writing: 1 Response Task & 1 Essay(Level: B1+ B2)

Speaking: Face-to-face interview (Level: B1+ B2) (Approximately 15 minutes)

Each part is worth 25 points.

In order to take the exam, the students need to bring their valid passport/national identity card/student card. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to take the exam. The students should be in front of the School of Foreign Languages (M building) before the exam starts with their pens, pencils, and erasers.
